January is right on the money. 4-6 months is the norm. I’m sending mine out next month for my May wedding.

January should be fine. I’m sending mine out now because it’s a holiday weekend. But for a normal weekend 4-6 months is sufficient

4 month is too short of notice – you send invites 6 – 10 weeks out, that’s way too close together.

I think January is fine – doesn’t get lost in the holiday shuffle. But I’d get it out by the 2nd week in January for a June wedding.

If lots of people have to travel, I’d send it sooner, like early-mid November. I think 6 – 12 months is the norm.

I would say 6-9 months before.

You should send them out at least six months in advance.  Given your timing, I would simply send them around Christmas time and have them double as a holiday card.
