Hopefully your Boyfriend or Best Friend will join you!!

However, if he doesn’t or can’t, then you should start preparing for the “what-if”.  This was a big this with my husband as well.  He knew he had to ask my dad and so he had to time the proposal around a time he would see my dad.  If he doesn’t go on the trip, maybe make it clear thats its ok for him to call and ask your dad on the phone for permission?

Yeah, in cases like this it definately gets crazy! I remember planning things that I meant as a romantic night out, but then worrying that N would feel pressure to propose on such and such a night…

I think the best thing to do would just be to let him know that you just want him to spend time with your family, and not emphasize the whole ‘asking the father’ thing at all. If he chooses to ask then, great!
