After changing our minds like three times, we finally saw a combination that we absolutely LOVE! Our scheme is that classic white, black, and gold With hints of fuschia. But I just realized last week that the venue only provides ivory linens and napkins.
Will people even notice the ivory vs. white…
Should I rent white linens Or just change everything (cake frosting, candles, table fabric, chair organza, etc) to ivory?

Most people on the bee will tell you that ivory and white [almost] look the same.
But to me, they certainly look VERY differant. Although, in picture you probably won’t be able to tell as much.
My colors were originally ivory & black with pink accents.. and then I chose a STARK white dress, and decided that ivory against my dress would look hideous, so I changed it.
I’m so happy I did! My white dress made the linens almost look YELLOW because the ivory was so dark.
Can you do a mockup of each table with the two color schemes and maybe decide from there?

@jenilynevette: eeekkk! That’s my worst fear (for the decor to look dingy next to the white)! I’m trying to do a mock table but getting all the pieces to the puzzle aren’t quite working. My dress is being made so I only have swatches, but just holding up the linens side by side and putting the organza next to it should help. Thank youuuu!

I really don’t think anyone will notice!

I bought 9 dozen napkins for like 35$ as our venue only provides white and I wanted navy

@graste: I would never notice if I were at a wedding with ivory-instead-of-white linens. It’s totally not worth the cost of renting linens either, if you ask me – take advantage of the free linens and spend the money elsewhere on something that will impact the guest’s enjoyment or something that will last like photography/videography!
