Florist was really important to me and in NYC i wanted to make sure that I booked a florist that was only doing 1 event at time. I booked about 15 months in advance.

I started meeting with them in November/December for our September wedding.  I will say though that there was an amazing florist I loved (who probably would have been out of our budget anyway) and was all booked up for September by that time. I think a year out if fine to book.

I’m 4 months away and haven’t booked ours yet. But we have her selected. Just need to get her proposal and we will book!

When is your wedding?

I (ironically) just had my florist appointment tonight, and put down my deposit. I kept putting it off thinking I have time (booked in August 2016, wedding is May 2017) but I had so many people tell me to at least secure the date, and I can change details later. Turns out they were right. My florist happened to have my day, but she told me that she is pretty much booked full for the 2017 wedding season. It’s also prom season, the beginning of wedding season, and mother’s day.
