If you know who you want, I say book it now! I booked mine about 2 months out, but you would probably want to do it earlier than that (October is more popular than early April for weddings).  I did my trial 3 weeks before the wedding; I didn’t want to do it too far in advance in case she forgot how she did it.

I agree, as soon as possible. I did the trial soon after I booked her. They should take notes and you should take pictures. If you are doing e-pics, plan to do it that day. You can keep the make up on, and just restyle your hair.

I booked mine in January/Feb when my wedding was in July. We did the trial in April.

I just booked mine on Monday and my wedding isnt until November. Two other make up artist I called were already booked for my wedding date so I figured if they were booked by Jan than I needed to start doing make up trials soon. She did my make up trial on saturday 3/26 and I booked her that Monday. She is very reasonable cheaper than the other artist I contacted and amazing!

Who are you using? You can PM me if you want- I live sorta near the Princeton area & have no clue how to find a makeup artist, out so I’d like to see your suggestion if you don’t mind!
