Did you order your favors before you had your final count? I plan to do a DIY favor, and there’s no way I can wait til we have the final count in (just weeks before the wedding) to get working on them… Our guest list is around 180.. So I was going to make around 160 favors.. then if with in the last few weeks I have to do a couple extra no big deal, but I couldn’t tackle all of them last minute. Any advice?

yeah, I would order them soon; 160 sounds about right. You will probably end up having even less than that, so it wouldn’t hurt to have extras!

That sounds like a good target goal — I keep getting told that usually 20 people (at least) don’t show up to the wedding. So, 160 sounds like a good number to hit and you can add some more later if needed =) what ya making?

is 180 the number you’re inviting? since your wedding is not until next year, i don’t believe you’ve sent out the invites yet. if 180 is the number you’re inviting then 160 might be too many. but i would rather have more than not enough.
my wedding is next weekend and i just called the bakery to order my favors this week. i did prep the boxes and labels a few weeks ago.

@SuperDuperBrit: I’m doing glittered wine glasses.. just the stem & base of each glass.. I mad them for my Bridesmaid or Best Man and they turned out awesome.. It took 2 days to make them.. because of letting them dry & reapplying the sealer..
I figure if I get 160 made, that should be enough .. if it gets closer though & I see my guest count creeping close to that, I can make some more last minute.. and if there’s extra, I know friends & family wouldn’t mind taking one or two extra.
Here’s my Bridesmaid or Best Man ones.. the favors won’t have the letter .. just the stem & base, and I made tags to hang on the stems..
Here’s the tags, they’ll have a purple border around them & will be laminated and tied with a piece of ribbon.
