Your poll didn’t work but give them at least until the rsvp date and maybe a couple of days grace beyond that. Most of our ‘no’ guests didn’t bother and some didn’t answer when I hunted them down either. It was safe to assume they weren’t coming.

We had our RSVP date on a Thursday, gave them Friday and the weekend for any stragglers and I started follow ups on Monday/Tue.

I’d give it at least 2-3 days after the RSVP date.

eta: a lot of people assume the RSVP date is the last day they should throw it in the mail, so I’d make it 2-3 business days to account for mailing times.

It also depends on if you are doing paper rsvp or electronic. For electronic, there is no need to wait after the deadline.

I had a ton of late RSVPers. I waited a few days before I started asking people for their RSVPs. I had a mix of paper invitations for older folks and electronic for younger people.

I’ve always waited until a few days past the RSVP deadline for any event requiring a response.

I agree – I’d start following up a few days  after the RSVP date.
