Do you mean on your driver’s license? It looks like you’re supposed to notify them ASAP when you move but you just send them the new address. You don’t actually get it changed on you driver’s license. They just want it on file so they can track you down if needed. So you don’t need to worry about going to the DMV like you do with a name change.

However, if you will be living in a different place during the school year and you can easily get your mail from your parents I probably wouldn’t change my address until I moved into that house permanently.

@MrsN14:  Change your address for what? Bills? Magazines, etc? It sounds like you don’t have anything to change right now since you want the bills and such to continue going to your parents house. You can change things one at a time; you don’t have to do them all at once.

FWIW, my checks still have the address that I had in 2005 (about ten addresses ago, since I am military). I have no intention on ordering new checks until I run out, which will probably be in about ten years since I hardly ever write checks (who does? oh, I know, the old man that I married!)

I voted for now but then I read the rest of your post and I don’t see why you would want to change your address on things that you want to have continue going to your parents house.
