@renwoman:  I didn’t have time to do a full spa day, but my BMs and I went to get mani/pedis the day before. The day-of I was up at 6:30am to get in the shower, dry my hair, and eat breakfast before the MUA arrived at 8:30am. We did pictures before, starting at 12:45pm and the ceremony started at 4:30pm.

Depends on what you’re doing. Mani/pedi day of is fine, maybe a massage. But facial-nope- last thing you want is your face to get blotchy. Or are you planning on hair/makeup during this time?

I think the day before would be a lot more relaxed.

@renwoman:  Yes. I had three BMs and two of them came in from Chicago. My Maid/Matron of Honor is local and did the flowers for the wedding, so she took off two days from work and opted to skip the mani/pedis. (Her nails would have been ruined, because she did the bouquets/boutonniers morning-of and she’s pregnant so couldn’t do the pedi anyway.)

I understand about not wanting to ask them to take extra time off. You could always float the idea and see how they respond.

I manage a big spa and we have a ton of bridal parties. Do not try and do nails day of. to be safe you need at least 1.5 hours after nails to let them dry all the way. A massage will likely leave oils in your hair and on the body- and it is best to leave them on. Best scenario would be evening before with meals in the spa. You will be relaxed and able to sleep the night before the wedding. Have fun & congratulations!!!!
