- Wedding: September 2011
My wedding is THIS weekend. We found an amazing pastor who is doing our ceremony as part of his community service for his church. We’ve previously met with him on 6 occasions for religious classes, as well as getting to know him. We paid $20 toward some workbooks and otherwise his services are free.
We plan to make a donation to his church, as well as gift him either cash or a restaurant gift card (for a restaurant we met at for one of our classes). His wife will be attending the ceremony, and they will both be attending the reception.
I wanted to have a card ready for him at the ceremony with his “thank you” donation. Fiance wants to wait until after the wedding is over and include the donation with our thank you card (thank you for performing the ceremony and for attending both events).
What would you do?
