I would go and get one 2 weeks out. My skin is semi sensitive and I went and got one a little over a week and got a “lurker” for my wedding day. It didn’t show, but I felt it and it was annoying!

Just keep in mind that it gets all the gunk out and can irritate pores for the first little while.

If I were you I would just put a little baking soda in my hand with a tiny bit of water and use that as a scrub and then use Bliss’s oxygenating facial mask on top of that. You WILL glow! 🙂

Have you had a facial before?

I have sensitive skin too, so I understand your concern!  I would say that if you can back to somewhere you had one before w/o a problem, you will probably be okay.  But I would go sooner rather than later, just in case.  Enjoy your last few weeks, and try not to stress too much!

I have pretty sensitive skin and have booked a facial for one week before my wedding – but it is at a spa where I have had a facial before with no crazy reactions, and I am going to request that they not to any extractions and give me more of a nourishing facial (rather than a “stimulating” or ultra-exfoliating facial or something like that).  But if you are really concerned due to your personal skin issues, try to book one for two weeks out – hopefully that should give your skin time to calm down after the facial, but you’ll still be experiencing the benefits of the facial by the time of the wedding.  🙂

@MissMinette:  I’m a huge fan of KEEP ON KEEPIN ON.  Your face has found a good balance.  Do not mess with it!

@WillyNilly:  Yeah when it got close to my wedding, I ended up figuring out that I was spending a boatload of money on people whose job it was to make me look good, so really I didn’t have to worry about it that much.

But I always find facials nice and relaxing!  So that’s always nice too.  I got one about 6 weeks out, meant to go back, but never did.

@MissMinette:  Oh totally, the pillow case change is perfect.  Or you can always sleep on a clean towel too.  I picked up http://www.dickinsonbrands.com/ after seeing it being raved about on the boards.  It’s too drying for my face but I use it on my chest and it’s cleared it up perfectly.  Have you used witch hazel before?
