I know typically you give Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts at showers or rehearsal dinner, but we have a different situation…We’re getting married in Fort Lauderdale at a resort on the beach, and while we live here, 95% of our guests are traveling from out of town. Like from other states. Of my 4 Bms, only one lives here. I’m giving them these supercute beach bags I found on etsy, monogrammed with their names and a starfish (our theme) instead of the palm tree, and they’ll be navy and aqua (our wedding color)…I’m also getting them these Michael Kors flip flops, because we all love us some MK and I figured they would love them much more than if I just got them some random flip flops…And then I’m putting beach towels, sunscreen, etc in them.
Because most of them are traveling in, they’re getting here on Friday, will probably enjoy the beach all day on Saturday, and our rehearsal dinner is Sat night. I don’t want to wait until the rehearsal dinner to give them their gifts because I want them to be able to use them if they want, and since our wedding is on Sunday at 5pm and we’ll spend all day getting ready, it really doesn’t leave any other time for them to use them, since they’ll all depart Monday.
Is it okay for me to just give them to each Bridesmaid or Best Man individually? I’m picking all of them up from the airport and bringing them to their hotels, as a courtesy to the bridal party. Is it tacky to give them their gifts then, individually?
