I think you need to have at least a quarter inch regrowth in order to wax.  I would schedule it a week or so before the wedding in case you have any reaction.

I have waxed my legs.  It is a lot less painful than a bikini wax.

I’d get the final wax 3 days before your wedding night. So if you are getting married on a Saturday night wedding – get waxed on Wednesday.  I start to see hair regrowth in about 2 weeks.  I’d have the first wax done 2 months out to give all your hair time to regrow (some hair follicles take longer to regrow than other).

I’ve had a brazillian wax and a full leg wax, and honestly I found the leg part to be more painful.  For my honeymoon I’m having my upperleg & bikini area waxed, but not lower legs (they take two seconds to shave in the shower so not a big deal there!)

@mrscali13:  Don’t go any time near your period – the pain is much worse. Have you considered sugaring? I can go 6 weeks between appointments and get hardly any regrowth at all. All waxing did (for me) was rip off the top layer of skin and didn’t last much longer than shaving.

Make sure you have enough regrowth to pull comfortably, but don’t let it get too long as it will hurt much worse.
