(Closed) When to hire an Officiant/Pastor?

I would really get on this!  My friend contacted the person who married us and they are totally booked for this upcoming summer.

Since your wedding is in July you might have a problem finding someone.

Our officiant was referred to us by the venue (not a church). 

There aren’t any friends who could marry us but my other friend is having her uncle officiate as he is a judge.

I am 8.5 months out and this is one of my overdue items!!! You should start looking asap!

I’m a little less then 9 months out and I just booked mine!

Try looking up your county website, or call the magistrate’s office. They should give you a list of people who can perform civil ceremonies, usually for a set fee (ours was $50 plus travel).

We’re getting married at a winery, and we’re looking for a 10-15 minute ceremony with some religous aspects, but not a lot, and they can definitely do any kind of service you’re looking for..Totally customized!

I’m getting married 4/10/11 and I am meeting with an officiant tomorrow and this will be the first one that I talk to. If everything goes good i’ll book with him. I chose to wait a llittle later on this one, but you should do it early
