I know this is asked countless times, and I thought i had it figured out. but now that it’s approaching I need advice.
wedding is July 6th – holiday weekend.
My ENTIRE family lives out of state (any where from 2-8 hour drive for them)
we did NOT send out save the dates.
my immediate family already knows the info an dhas hotel reservd, same with my future husbands family.
RSVP deadline is June 5th. I was just going to wait an mail the invites May 1. but now I’m thinking I should mail them with in the next week or so, just so people have a little extra time to plan.
Also the first shower invites went out this week, does that matter if the wedding invites aren’t out?
help!! tell me when you would mail them if you were me (and it if matters all the invites are ready to go, just need to be dropped off)

@W292737: I would send them out ASAP. We did a Destination Wedding, so we did send out Save the Dates, but since you have a lot of people traveling, as much of a heads up as possible at this point would be best.

Etiquette says no more than 8 weeks out. For a July 6 wedding, May 1 is about right.

Ii was alwaystold 6-8 weeks, by people have been asking where mine are and I’m getting married the week after you. I’d say anytime in the next 3 weeks would be idealand in the next 6 weeks would be okay.
Also, my shower invites are already out. The wedding invites will be a goodreminder to RSVP to the shower!

- Wedding: October 2014 - Church
@W292737: Three months before is totally acceptable. Send them out tomorrow. I don’t know how long the mail takes in the States but it takes 7 business days in Canada if it is out of province. You have out-of-state folks and they need the warning.
