My wedding isnt until next year, in june. When is too early to meet with florists? I have no idea what I should be budgeting for florals & would hope to get some idea by meeting earlier rather than later. i dont want to overspend in other areas and end up with no flowers
i realize they couldnt give me exact quotes since flowers change yearly, but a rough idea.

My wedding is in August of 2013, and I have already booked my florist. Since we dont have the bridemaid dresses picked yet, we are waiting until then (probably the end of April or so) to actually meet with her and go over everything. So I would suggest anytime.

I’m under the 6 month mark and I’m getting ready to book her. Because the wedding just came together really this year (color choices, style, ect.), I held off but was in contact with my #1 choice of florists.

Florist get booked and can only do so many weddings in one day. You might as well start now.

We started looking about 9 months before, booked 6 months before. I dont necessarily think you should book a year in advance.

We knew which florist we wanted to use right when we started planning. I had called about 10 months in advance. Ours was asking me what my dress looked like, what the bridesmaid dresses looked like, what the ceremony venue and reception venue were like. I wasn’t ready to answer those questions at that time. We actually just went last week for our wedding that was three months away. We had no problem booking our person.
You might be able to meet with them, talk about your ideas, and get a basic quote. They may not even want to write up anything specific until it gets closer.

i voted now but you could wait a little bit. i like getting things set early so my vendors do not get booked (i’m getting married in may next year). My florist is also my coordinator though & is handling decor, linens etc.
