(Closed) When to order a Qi Pao?

Depending on where you go there are stock and custom ones.

However, I wouldn’t go to just any seamstress to alter a QiPao. You want to go to someone who works in a QiPao shop. Are you near  Chinatown? I would go there first to try on styles.

It took 6 weeks to get my custom qi pao.

Most places I’ve been to said 4-6 weeks.  I am getting married in September, so I plan on going during the beginning of July, two months before my wedding!  Hope that helps.

Depends. Do you want a traditional off the rack? Sure you could find one in China Town (where you are)


Otherwise if you wanted something special or more elaborate, it takes about 2 months to be safe.


I ordered mine in Feb ish and it will be here in April.

I would say around 3 mths… depending on the details on the dress.
