(Closed) When to order wedding dress?

It really depends. If you love the dress so much and have tried it on and know it’s “The One” then I’d just buy it now. There’s nothing stopping you – but make sure you don’t dress shop afterwards or you could get yourself confused!

I bought my dress about 10 months out. But I wasn’t sure what I was going for and I didn’t know what type of alterations I’d need. Turns out I just need the waist taken in and I’ll do that closer to my wedding date (probably in May for my July wedding).

I’d go for something in between. Dependant on how much you’re planning to loose, if you’re going to loose a lot of weight I’d go for maybe a size or two up from your goal weight. It’s always easier to get a dress altered smaller than to get a dress altered larger 🙂

a lot of women start searching about a year in advance, the dresses usually take 6-9 months to come in then you have fittings
