you should ask the bridal store how long it will take for alteration and whether the dress will look okay to be altered after you have lost so many weight. coz some dresses can not be altered or look weird after it has been altered. good luck!

Yes I would check with them. Ideally you should do alterations as late as you can without causing stress about whether they will be done or not, as that way it will be fitted as closely as possible to your body as it will be on your wedding day!

@prisigtr:  I know the feeling! My dress came in august and they told me not to start alterations til last week! definitely enough to try the nerves!

Typically you get fitted at 6 weeks, 4 weeks, and 1 week.

My fittings are going to be 7 weeks, 4 weeks and 2.5 weeks before my wedding…

my wedding is in March and my fittings are end of December, mid February and 2 weeks before the wedding.
