I am getting married in 12 days eek! I have a mani/pedi scheduled 2 days before my wedding in the evening. I am trying to figure out when to schedule my spray tan. I have never had one before but the lady I am going to has great reviews from people I know and trust. When should I schedule my spray tan? I’m nervous about the day before but I have also been told that it is bad to get exfoliated from a pedi after one because that would take the tan off your legs.
When should I make my spray tan appointment?

Swebs14: I would schedule the spray tan after the pedi, but give yourself enough time to let the spray tan dry completely/soak in before the wedding. A lot of spray tans have built in bronzers that will come off after the first shower you take after the tan.
Honestly, I would try to push the pedi out to 3 days before the wedding and schedule the spray tan for 2 days out so that the intense “glow” kind of gets a chance to wear off and be a tad more natural looking for the wedding.

Swebs14: We are date twins!! I was just thinking about this this morning. It depends on where you go, but the person I spoke with said they typically last 5-7 days, depending on how much you exfoliate, etc. I think I am going to try to get mine the Weds before the wedding so it won’t be TOO fresh but won’t be totally faded away either.
That’s my 2 cents, but I’m also commenting to see what other bees recommend!

I agree. Do the pedi before the spray tan and get the spray tan 2 days prior to the wedding. Shave before getting the spray tan. You won’t want to shower for at least 8 hours after the spray tan, but you’ll feel pretty gross. The next day you can shower and don’t exfoliate, just use your hand for soap, otherwise you can take it off in certain areas – and pat yourself dry. Same deal on your wedding day, use your hand to bathe because a wash clothe/loofa/sponge/etc. will take the spray off and again, pat yourself dry. 2 days will give you enough time so your tan doesn’t rub off on your pretty white dress 🙂

I was married on a Saturday.
Wednesday I got a mani, Thursday a pedi, Friday my spray tan.
I think it all looked great on Saturday morning after I showered. I looked a bit goofy on Friday afternoon though, for decorating/rehearsal/rehearsal dinner, as the bronzers in the spray caked a bit.
