Our wedding is November 1, 2014. We have our invitations and will be ready to send them in a matter of days. I am wonderign how early is too early? Our RSVP date is September 15th. Our venue which is all inclusive requires a head count a month beofore (October 1st, 2014) so they can properly prepare. When shoudl we send our invites?

Our wedding was May 3rd. We sent invites the first week of February, with a RSVP date the first week of April. Venue needed final head count two weeks before, so that left us two weeks to figure out meal selections, add them up, and of course await the ‘stragglers’ that never got sent to us (special!!).
So, I say you can send them NOW, if they are ready 🙂 Gives people 7 weeks to RSVP, and it will be 3 months before your big day!

Our wedding is October 17, 2014, and we’re sending our invites out by the end of next week. Our RSVP date is September 19, so we have enough time to track no replies and get their food choices in.
We didn’t do any STD’s, so we thought getting them out a 2 months and a week before the wedding is a great time.

I have the same RSVP date and I am mailing them in now.
Edit: I also did not do Save-The-Date Cards and half my guests are in the Midwest.

Ok. Thank You all so much. It seems so early to send them but due to when we need a count by I find it reasonable.

I sent my invitations out at exactly the 8 week mark (bc that’s what the majority of etiquette things said and most brides) and had my RSVP 4 weeks later (therefore 4 weeks before wedding). my stds went out 6 months before the wedding.

my wedding is 9/20, I sent Save-the-Dates in March, and send my invites exactly 8 weeks before the wedding. My guests have 5 weeks to respond.
