Normally I expect invites to be sent out 6-8 weeks beforehand. So, I would think you’d get one by the end of October.

I sent my invitations out on Oct 12, my wedding is January 20, 2013, so about 3 and a half months early. I did this on purpose since we have a B list consisting of 6 people that we could not invite since we can not afford to invite more than 135. As we get regrets back I will invite people from the B list. 6 may not sound like alot, but if each person brings a guest thats 12 more people. So we felt safer doing it this way.

Our wedding was August 4, and we sent out our invites at the end of May.

I would imagine they’re coming soon, and I’m sure you’ll be invited!

I do think it’s crazy but im in a similar boat. I expected to have my invites sent out last month but due to a number of unexpected events, they’re still in the process of getting made and Im hoping to send them out next week.

Generally they should go out 6-8 weeks in advance, but as another poster said, stuff happens. I went to wedding recently where they kept saying there were delays, printing was taking longer than they expected, they were still coming, etc. But finally about 3 weeks before the weddig, they just sent an email and mass text. Kind of a mess.

I think invites can take longer than people expect to create & assemble. I have been working on ours for about a month (slowly – got all the supplies and printed them, have been cutting as time allows, will get more serious in Nov). We are sending ours January 21 for an April 6 wedding with a March 1 RSVP date. It is out of town for everyone though, hence a little longer lead time. Plus I want to beat the postage hike, just because they have an 85 cent single stamp and I don’t want to have to mix stamps.
