I think Save-The-Date Cards are generally sent out 6-8 months ahead of time. Maybe have them ready to ship out by the 1st of the year?

We’re planning on sending ours like, this month!! I’ve heard from a few people that you’re not supposed to send them out til 6 or so months beforehand, but every STD I’ve ever gotten has been about a year in advance.  Also I think it depends on how much of your guest list is made up of out of town guests… ours is at least 30% out of state, so we wanted to kind of get a jump on things…

@TheMrs2013:  Yeah go ahead and do it! Your date is less than a year away at this point, so you may as well get it off your plate and out of your hair 🙂

I am going to do mine at Christmas but that is my resisting the urge to send them now! I don’t have any out of town guests really, so taking it easy! (I really want to do them though!)

I’m sending mine this month because we are having a destination wedding.

I sent mine last month because 90% of our guests are out of town.  I had everything ready to go, so why not?  A lot of people were already asking for information as it was.
