I am wondering when you would like to see a hot beverage bar (hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee with all the fixin’s and perhaps some baily’s) during the reception? I am having a february wedding at a pioneer village. Cocktail hour starts almost right after the ceremony where there will be champagne and o’deurves. Dinner consists of a salad, then pasta, then entree and dessert followed by coffee and tea. Then we have open bar for the dance plus our cup cakes! Not sure if we are doing a mid night snack (it’s not included in the package) So when would we put out the hot chocolate bar? During cocktail hour to warm up coming in from the outdoors? After dinner and make the coffee/tea more elaborate? Or later around the cake cutting time/midnight snack?
I sort of prefer putting it out late since we don’t have a midnight snack, however I am afraid people will be hot from dancing and won’t feel like drinking something hot.. plus it’s open bar… What do you bees think? Have any of you done this? When did you serve it?
