@nyscpa2be:  I count the first day I need to use a tampon – but many people suggest the ‘first day of red flow’. Unless you’re being really specific and need to know for medication or something, it shouldn’t matter too much as long as you’re consistent.

If you end up having difficulty conceiving, my Naturopath was concerned about my pre-AF dark brown spotting/discharge, and has me on a herbal mixture which has cleared that up. I now start with red flow on day 1, which she says is much better. But no need to go looking for problems in advance!!

All the best 🙂

@nyscpa2be:  i’ve been TTC for over a year, and it’s one of the things she wanted to treat. I have no way of knowing if its “bad” for you or anyone else 🙂 if you look for things to worry about, you are sure to find them, so for the moment I’d urge you to enjoy the process. Are you tracking?? Keep notes about these little things so that IF you do have a problem then you have a summary of what you’ve experienced. Chance are, you’ll be able to throw them out before you ever need to refer back to them.

So many ladies on here have had things that are “bad” (spotting, short luteal phases, etc.) and still got pregnant within months – so it may not mean anything for you!!!
