- Wedding: October 2013
I’m the Maid/Matron of Honor (and only bridesmaid) for my friend’s upcoming wedding in mid-October. The bride and I have narrowed her bachelorette down to two days in the week before her October wedding and she’s given me a guest list of four friends to invite. Since the bride wants to be kept in the loop on all plans and since none of the invitees know each-other, we’ve decided to go the route of creating a private Facebook group and messaging all the girls with the potential date/time information, to be followed up by a list of potential activities based on the date.
My question is: how soon should I be creating the Facebook group. How soon is too soon? We are currently just over 3.5 months from both of the potential dates. I feel like these girls are going to want as much time as possible, since some are mothers, students or just from far out of town. I was thinking of waiting until we get past the bridal shower, which is in less than a month, but my co-worker said sooner is better when it comes to organizing a bunch of strangers.
Side note: We really don’t have any additional flexibility on the dates due to the bride living very far out of town and only arriving in town a week before her wedding.
