My cycle is 30 days and the Clearblue Digital instructions say to start testing on day 13. Does that seem a little late? If I’m supposed to start testing 2 days before my anticipated ovulation date, why do I get 20 ovulation sticks for just 2 months?

I tested a week before my period was due. the cheaper blue dye test sticks showed negative results, but I was really sick and was throwing up a lot for no reason whatsoever. I’m glad I did. I think clear blue digital is the most accurate early detection. it came up positive and I was 2 to 3 weeks pregnant at the time.

My cycle has varied from 29-34 days last few months. The directions on the CB OPK said to start testing on day 12 based on my last cycle. The first day I tested I got an open circle, next day a flashing smiley and a solid smiley on the third day. I didn’t test for the next 2 days as per instructions, but when I did test again it was an open circle again. So, assuming the test is correct, I ovulated earlier this cycle then I had the last couple of months, but even so, I used the day they told me and it worked. If you’d feel more comfortable, I’d start a couple days before day 13. You should be fine since there are so many sticks.

emileee: I had positive FRERs for about 4-5 days (faint positives) before I got a positive clear blue, and I was definitely pregnant! I think I got the positive FRER at 9-10 DPO so 13 DPO makes sense with the digital.

I think OP is talking about ovulation testing not pregnancy testing. I do think CD13 is a little late, I used to ovulate on day 13 so that would be too late for me to get a positive. I would start at like 10 or 11, but I never used OPKs, just temps.

Yes. The OP is talking about Ovulation Tests, not Pregnancy Tests!

Sorry I should have been clear – yes, I’m talking about ovulation tests! Thanks all for your responses, I think I’ll start day 10 or 11 to be safe.
