It depends on the cause, but in any regard, you are better off taking the meds and making yourself comfortable. There isn’t any point in leaving yourself in misery.

Least you should do is start taking some zinc or airborne. It’s never to late for that stuff!

Personally, I drink garlic and ginger tea mostly. I try to avoid pharmaceuticals but I do have a stash for so called ’emergencies’ ie, the times when you are sicker than sick and still must go be a functional human. I’m not against some drugs to heal my ailments then. I mean, I try my very hardest to overcome sickness naturally but sometimes it’s just not happening and you gotta resort to the DayQuil.

The exception to this rule for me is headaches. We knock those out of the park wih Tylenol/caffeine pills because headaches turn into migrainea for me like THAT and it’s worth the potential strain on my liver to eliminate migraine pain.

I think the key to remember with pharmaceuticalls is that it all comes with another set of potential effects so you have to weigh your options. Sometimes it’s better to ride it out and sometimes it’s better to kick in the butt. Use your best judgements!

Hope you feel better soon! I’m prepared to want some drugs in the morning before class! I’ve been downright under the weather and now I have classes again tomorrow. Ugh!
