Based on my knowledge of how all that stuff works, it’s probably most likely that you’re just still adjusting to being off BC, and your cycle is all messed up (so you have no way of having any idea when you’re ovulating, etc., unless you’re taking temperatures, charting, etc., and even then it may be tough).

Of course, there’s always a possibility that you are pregnant, but if you are – it would be hard to know when it happened, so it’s hard to know when to take a test. I’d wait a week and try again.

Definitely chart next cycle. I always get EWCM on CD12/13, but I’ve ovulated on CD 18, 15, 14, and then 18 again so the CM and ovulation date didn’t correspond at all a couple times. You could have had implantation bleeding, ovulation bleeding, or random spotting. Test a couple times a week or once a week…if you’re not sure if you ovulated, I would test weekly to not waste tests and go buy some dollar store tests because testing can get expensive. If it was implantation bleeding you most likely would have gotten a positive on a FRER 4 days after, though. You may not have ovulated still, especially if you stopped using ovulation tests. I would say that the bleeding was likely ovulation-related or random. Test in a week or two (and I would use dollar store tests and confirm with a FRER because it gets super expensive).
