So we went off the pills after 6 years, in the beginning of May on a Sunday and that Thursday I had a light period over the weekend. We weren’t trying to conceive until the end of August but wanted to get my body off the pills. I was never regular before the pills so I was going to use the next couple months to get an average. Well this weekend things got heated and we didn’t use protection. According to a fertility app I used, if I had a normal cycle from 28-35 days I could have been ovulating the day we didn’t use protection or any of the few days after. How likely is it that I could be pregnant and when should I test? I really don’t know when I would expect my next period because I haven’t been able to get an average after stopping the pill. So I feel like it’s all up in the air but I can’t stop thinking about it!

If you aren’t sure on your cycles, I’d go off that ovulation date. Starting from 10 days afterward is usually the point where ladies start to test.

ashd904: personally, I’m going to try and wait until the app tells me AF is supposed to arrive…yeah, well see how that goes.

Unfortunately none of us are going to be able to tell you what your chances were of getting pregnant since you don’t know when (or if) you ovulated.
If you know when you had your last period, count 28 days from the first day of your period and that will give you a super rough estimate of when you should consider testing.
Don’t freak out yet. If you were planning on starting trying in August…it’s really not that far away (even though its not when you planned).

You said you were using an app. Go by that.
I didnt test until my period was late 4/5 days. But most people test earlier. I didnt want to be sad about it 🙁 had been trying for quite a few months.
Also, if you do it too early you might not get a very accurate result.
