So I haven’t started temping but I have been using OPKs for the first time this cycle and I got my first positive this weekend! It was positive for about a day and a half and I had some ewcm the second day, so now my question is when should I put down as the day I O’d?? The first OPK or the ewcm? Or split the difference? 🙂 In hindsight I guess I should’ve been temping but I am terrible about waking up in the middle of the night and not getting up at the same time every day so I didn’t want the added stress…

@lazybee123: I’m pretty sure that OPKs tell you that you are about to ovulate, where temping tells you that you did ovulate. So, I’d count O day as the EWCM day, since the OPKs detect the LH surge that happens just prior to Oing. Try to wait until Feb 1st to test.

@DaneLady: Thanks! That’s what I was thinking but I was hoping I could test sooner haha 🙂 I think our timing was good, but it’s our first month that I’ve actually tried to narrow down the window and I’m having a ton of symptoms (that could just be normal but I’m hyper alert 🙂 ) so I really hope it’s our month!

Just wanted to jump in and say good luck! You can always take a test early, but keep in mind that there are no guarantees about accuracy until the day your period is due. That said, I got my BFP a full 4 days before my period was due, so it is entirely possible! Hope this is your month!
