Not when did you get married (unless it’s the same), but which month would you most like to get married in?
And why? 🙂
My SO and I want to get married on our anniversary, but unfortunatley, next year is the last year it’s on a weekend for about 5 more years… but I would still like to get married in the autumn. Probably November, maybe October.

If I could re-do it I would do what we originally planned: a fall wedding. A summer wedding could be great but yeah a fall wedding would be amazing. You wouldn’t have to worry about the heat and all the colors are great!

I voted January…I really want a winter wonderland style wedding.

@WestCoast: iwould have also loved to have our wedding on our anniversary but this year it landed on a Saturday and I don’t want to wait that long!
Summer would be perfect because I tend to run colder than most and I want to be warm 🙂

Personally anytime would be ideal, but I would love to get married on the anniversary of the day we met (Sept 14th) so September it is lol. Altho our dating anniversary is in October and that wouldn’t be bad either lol

Our anniversary is in March and March here in the SF Bay Area is unpredictable at best. Some years it’ll be warm and mild, others it’ll be rainy. And sometimes it’s both on alternating weekends. Crazy.
So I’d like September. The weather is pretty warm without being stupid hot and we can pretty much count on it not raining.

We either want May or September. He likes Sept. but our baby’s birthday MAY be in September, so I don’t like 2 celebrations in one month (spread them out!) and it’s also NOT cool during that time. Now down here anyway. I like May just because I like May.LOL

@MsMamaBear: We did the May/September debate too because we wanted nice weather withough being in the high summer. Ultimately he did some internet research and found that it was much more likely to rain in May than September in the city we wanted to marry so we picked September.
I’m really happy with September. Oddly enough we got married a day before my parents wedding anniversary and 4 days after his mom’s birthday but it was obly because that was the first free date at our venue after labor day in 2010.

Our anniversary is in February, so at first I wanted to get married then. But weather in Chicago is snowy and cold in February on most days, and we had a huge debilitating snow storm here this past February. So now, we have been talking Spring- April or May.

His parents and grandparents have a June 24th anniversary. Want to keep the tradition alive!

October! It’s generally pretty nice in San Diego in October, and our wedding feel is the “elegant outdoors” with chocolate, green, bronze, gold and ivory (and a lot of pinecones). It was important to us that we incorporate the woodsy outdoors, and it would have been too weird to try that in the summer in Southern California.

I have NO idea. I always wondered how people pick the time of year. If it were here in the states I think I would prefer summer or fall. But my SO wants to do it in DR (where he is from) so I guess we won’t have to worry about the winter cold or spring rain/allergies.
I would like the date to be meaningful. Not engaged yet, but hope to be by May of 2012.
I think 12/12/12 could be cool. I would like 11/12/13 if my birthday wasn’t 2 days later.
We probably won’t even start discussing the date until we’re engaged…although I notice a lot of ladies on here decide on a date with their SOs before the engagement.

I would have LOVED a late September or October wedding. I love the colors, I love the crispness in the air, I love the leaves. But with my academic schedule, that just wasn’t practical.

If we had to start over, we would do a winter wedding. We went for a fall wedding since we live in TX and summers are unbearable and winters are unpredictable.
