Tuesday or Wednesday before the wedding should be plenty of time, especially since you’ve gotten one before and know how your body reacts to them.

Hey I’m not married yet, but wax regularly. I would say Thursday would be early enough unless you have extremely senstive skin.

I don’t wax anymore (laser hair removal ftw!) but I think Tuesday or Wednesday is definitely good timing.

I’m going a full week before my wedding (this Saturday!), but only because I have never been waxed before 🙂

I have mine scheduled for 2 days before, but am not sure I will continue with it.  I see the hair growing back like after a week.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I alway thought waxing meant no hair for a LONGER amount of time.  But if I’m going to spend $40 a month for a hairless week, it’s not worth it to me anymore.

I went on the Wednesday before I got married.  It was perfect timing!

How long before it grows back? I’d like to not have to worry about it throughout the honeymoon..

Thanks! 🙂

I agree that I do about a month apart for waxings. I usually get 1.5 – 2 weeks hair free, and then it starts growing back in. however, i feel like hair that’s not on my head grows ridiculously fast. It’s not like I go from bare to a forrest, but a bit will grow back here and there. I usually tweeze until 1.5 weeks before my next appt.

I guess i’m pretty lucky when it comes to waxing…. i can have up to 6 weeks free of hair, Wednesday or thursday before your wedding should be fine.

@tntrav44:  Thank you!! It went well, and I also popped some Tylenol beforehand!

So I have a question… I am not a waxer, mainly because I have four kids and don’t have the money to throw around. However, I was going to waxed before the wedding because I didn’t want to worry about shaving during our mini honeymoon. Anyway, I don’t get paid til the Thursday before my Saturday wedding. The kicker is though that I will be traveling that thursday as well. I am driving from Minnesota to Kentucky for the wedding. I would not be able to get in anywhere to be waxed until friday. Is that TOO close to the wedding??? I don’t generally have sensitive skin. I tend to be pretty lucky with anything I do that has to do with my body. I guess my body is stronger then I thought, LOL…. Any thoughts about how I should handle this?
