I’ve been having a bitch of a time dealing with my prospective MU artist. We’ve emailed back and forth dozens of times and it normally takes her days (sometimes weeks) to reply. I emailed her on Saturday asking when would be a good time for a trial and she never got back to me. I emailed her again just now saying that I was eager to book a MU artist since our wedding is approaching and I’d like a confirmation that she still has my date available. Normally I would just say screw it and look for someone else but MU artists are hard to come by in these parts. I’ve already contacted every one that I could find but they either don’t offer airbrush (which I’d really, really like) or they won’t travel to the venue (pretty much non negotiable for me) and that was if they were even available.
Considering her less than stellar communication, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little worried about relying on her for our wedding. The thing is, she’s been specifically recommended to me by multiple people so I know she does great work and will get the job done but I just can’t get over the lack of professionalism when it comes to communication.
Has anyone dealt with this and ended up following through with the vendor? Was the communication better as your wedding approached and did he/she show up and do the job agreed upon or were you disappointed?
