Honestly, I don’t think most guys really give you a lot of hints that they are going to propose and I think you should stop bringing it up so much because that might be stopping him from doing it.  Guys like it when their girl isn’t expecting it and if you keep bring it up over and over, they know you are thinking about it and might push it back further.

LOL I got nothing, since Mr. KM won’t tell me a darn thing anymore. It’s frustrating.

I don’t think you’re a control freak, I have read loads of posts with girls in the same horrible “the anticipation is too much” cycle. I’m in a similar situation. I think the idea of just focusing on the realtionship seems to make me a lot calmer and just keep doing lovely things for him. It is so hard. Sometimes talking about it then nothing happening is the worst. Guys seem to like to talk about it alot before they actually do anything so if he does this, and discussing it is great don’t get me wrong, it’s good indication, then try to not get too excited. Maybe take have a secret “I’ll believe it when I see it” attitude. Hope this helps and take comfort in the fact that others are in your situation too…

My Fiance proposed to me on Valentine’s of 2009. Valentine’s day is less than a month away. Maybe he will propose on Valentines day 😉

Bah!  I’m right there with you.  I’ve broken my pact about not mentioning wedding stuff until V-day (there’s a topic floating around here somewhere on it).  But I tend to be super goofy about it… I sent an e-mail today with a picture of a redneck wedding and wrote, “If we ever get married, can I have a woodsy themed wedding?”  With all the camo fixin’s.  He responded with this picture and wrote, “I really had this in mind.” hehe

In any case, it’s on our minds and I’m going crazy from not being able to take it all seriously.

I think you need to just let it happen!  What fun is it to know when and where!  Having it be a surprise is part of the fun.  You might start to make him mad if you keep bugging him.

Have you checked out

That looks like something out of that website. I was hoping it wasn’t a wedding of someone you knew….

I feel the same way! We have friends who are getting married, so naturally we are talking about what we want to do. We’ve even looked at some ring styles (which I admit maybe I nudged him to do, but he was happy to). But yeah, it’s hard not to talk about it as much! I think it is important to step back though, and enjoy the relationship and when that moment comes, it will be all the better! But ooooh, the anticipation kills sometime, for sure!

I’m also nosey and want to know when it will happen, but at the same time I want it to be a surprise. 🙂
