lovepuppies978 :  I am sorry it’s been so hard for you. Have you talked with your doctor? Do you lean on your partner and close family and friends? Are you able to carve out even small amounts of time for yourself?

Baby blues are usually more short term. I encourage you to seek help.

Postpartum Depression and the Baby Blues

I agree with the previous poster about talking with your doctor.  Baby blues tend to last a shorter amount of time, and what you’re describing sounds like postpartum depression.  But it’s okay, Bee!! It’s totally treatable, more common than you think, and nothing to be embarrassed about. Just make an appointment as soon as possible so that you can get to spending happy times with that precious little one!

I hope you’re feeling better soon! *hugs*

lovepuppies978 :  the sooner you get help, the sooner you’ll feel like yourself again.

Usually only 2-3 weeks. Beyond that I’d get myself evaluated for PPD etc.

The whole thing is a huge change, but don’t be afraid to seek resources for help to make things easier on yourself.
