I lost about 10 kg for my wedding waaaay back. I felt fantastic! I started about 6 months before and it wasn’t hard after the first few weeks.
Motivation doesn’t just strike. You just kinda have to make a decision and corresponding choices.

Ugh I feel you – my wedding is 163 days away and I’m waiting for the motivation to kick in! What has somewhat helped is that I signed up for a triathlon on July 30 (my wedding is August 19). That way I train for the triathlon which in turn helps me get in shape for the wedding! Maybe you could sign up for a run (10km or half marathon?) or a triathlon, or something else similar to help with your motivation!
In terms of food, I’m trying to work on motivating myself to eat less junk. Try to give yourself one small cheat per day and then eat healthy the rest of the day. This is what I do. So I won’t eat junk all day because I’m excited for the cookie that I will have for dessert. Good luck!

3 weeks out and I already fell off the bandwagon and haven’t been able to get myself back on. But I fit in my dress and I’ve got some high powered spanx on the way to my house…so oh well!
I am what I am and my fiance loves me. It doesn’t matter if I lose 10 pounds before the wedding or not…I won’t remember that when I look at pictures years from now.

Lol, I have 11 months to go and I’m already motivated! I started my regime last week and hope to remain strong with it. I don’t have a particular weight loss goal, I just want to slim down a bit and look my best. Fiance plans to do cross fit.

I calculated that as of tomorrow morning, I have 29 full days before the wedding day. My reality check hit me today. Unfortunately I’m sick at the moment so I can’t exercise until my cold is gone. But I am really going to knuckle down on the food.
I was really motivated in January, working out a few times a week, but as soon as things got stressful I took a “break”, and you can imagine how that turned out.
The break turned into more than 2 months. Now I’m just under a month out from the wedding and know that unless I start tomorrow, I’m really running out of time. I have written myself a plan for doing as best I can to eat better and work out every day till the wedding.
Anyone successfully tone up in the last month?

you’re going to be fine. I think a month is all it takes if you just want to tone up a little. Look into spray tans as well. I’m banking on that! How much do you want to change?

I stil have a year and change till my wedding, but I’ve been engaged for almost a year. For me my motivation really hit when I got my engagement picture back and realized just how big I looked. I’m 5’3″ and approximately 250lbs. It also didn’t help that I was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome a few weeks ago. I think the latter was really my kick in the butt.
I started cutting out many carbs and eating whole foods (pretty much nothing in a package unless it’s just individually packaged whole foods like fish). In the past 2 weeks I have lost 5lbs, and have a lot more energy.
I think the reason it is working for me though is that I am thinking of this as a lifestyle change rather than losing weight for the wedding. I need to get myself healthy and lose weight or I risk having infertility issues, so this really is an important thing for me to do.

I was on a work trip for two weeks out of the country, which really knocked me off my workout routine! Now that I’m back I’ve been a bit lax, but started up again with workout videos yesterday. I’m also starting a new job after next week that is super close to my gym, so I won’t have to get up at the ass-crack of dawn to get to a workout class, and then rush to commute to the office – I expect this to be really helpful. Fiance is being diligent about his workouts and food, so that is motivating me as well. He also asked me not to have any sweets in the house as he seriously has no self-control around them, so it’s good for me as well (though it makes it tempting to stock up on candy at work).
I was pretty motivated before that work trip, when I’d been doing 30 day shred videos every couple days for 2-3 weeks and was starting to see muscle tone and my biceps looked flexed all the time! hopefully that feeling will come back and I’ll be less tempted by food that’s not good for me. On another note, I recently seem to have lost my tolerance for alcohol, and after a glass and a half of wine I am done or I start to feel sick – so I may start saving calories there too. Thanks, body! I guess this is 30…

my weddings in the end of September and I can’t seem to find motivation either. Diet or exercise. I thought it would kick in and I had a goal of needing to alter my dress. I know it’s expensive but it would make me so freaking happy to need the alterations. Weekends and the F not having an interest in losing also is my kryptonite

Well, between weighing myself for the first time in months and our engagement pictures coming in, I am finally feeling motivated. I’m three months our from our wedding and want to lose 10 pounds. Doable? Absolutely, so long as I can stick to my goals! I’m frustrated with myself that I had TWO YEARS to get in the best shape of my life and here I am three months before the heaviest I’ve been in a while. I don’t know, I’ve just felt really stressed and depressed lately, and the immediate pleasures of a glass of wine and my bed tend to overrule a salad and the gym. But no more! I’m doing this!
