Just a little vent. I don’t know if I should be kicking myself, or USPS. The other day I ordered some “intimate” items, but apparently during checkout Paypal reverted my shipping address back to my old address, and I hadn’t noticed until today when I went to investigate why my package hasn’t shown up yet. I only moved 3 months ago, so I can’t imagine why they didn’t forward my package to me like they have all my other mail…yet the tracking number says it was “left in the mailbox” at my old address. I’m frustrated, and a little embarrassed…my only hope is that the current tenant will noticed the wrong name on the shipping lable and return it to the post office or something. Or, they can keep the free lingerie, lol.
Gaaah, I’m so disappointed…anyone else have a similar experience?

Hahaha oh dear… sorry I shouldn’t laugh. I haven’t had anything as embarrassing as that happen but I did accidentally have a nurture swing sent to my old address but I was able to get paypal to change the shipping address in time so no where near as eventful as your story. I’m sure they’ll send it back to you soon? I mean it’s a bit weird stealing someone else’s linger and wearing it…

At some point you need to change your address; they cannot forward things forever. I hope you get this settled and don’t have to pay for something you didn’t receive. As for embarrassment, they don’t know you, so don’t worry about it.

woodlandwife : Hahaha, true! I’m hoping since it’s a package, they’ll be kind enough to send it back instead of just throwing it away or something. Despite my disappointment, I’m laughing at this, too. Luckily I didn’t spend a fortune or anything.
echomomm : Yeah, definitely won’t be making that mistake again! I double-checked the order before paying, but I didn’t think I’d need to triple-check after I applied Paypal (I had no idea Paypal changes the shipping address). USPS says they’ll forward mail for up to 12 months though, so I’m still not sure why it didn’t get forwarded to my new address. Must’ve slipped under the radar…though that’s the third or fourth time I’ve had issues with that specific USPS office.
Anyway, you’re right about the current resident not knowing who I am…but I guess I feel second-hand embarassment: could you imagine opening a package–not thinking about paying attention to the label– and being met with intimate items you never ordered? Awkward, lol.

On the bright side, at least it wasn’t a dildo or something?
But still, that sucks!

kiram : if it makes you feel any better, I had an embarrassing lingerie moment once too.
For years, my friend worked for a lingerie company that distributes big brands like Wacoal, natori, etc to stores like Macy’s and Nordstrom. she got so many great freebies that she’d sometimes request things in her friends sizes and give it out since she didn’t need any more.
one night she visited and gave me a bunch of stuff and we spread it out on my table to look at it. I left it on table to try on the next day, totally forgetting that my landlord was coming to fix something. He had to have walked in to fix my sink, seeing several lingerie sets laying out for his viewing pleasure. I can only imagine what he thought I was doing….

I live overseas and ordered a couple pairs of stockings from this small company in my hometown back in the states. Well, turns out they couldn’t ship to me, so I shipped to my mom who agreed to mail them to me. The store mixed up my order and sent one pair of stockings and one platinum blonde wig in a box that said Pleasure Wigs! And of course my mom had opened the package to repackage it and mail it to me, so she spent a good few weeks thinking I’d ordered that wig and shamelessly sent it to her house.. it wasn’t until it got to me overseas that I was able to tell her it was a mistake. That was a bit awkward.
