Did it take a while to get used to wearing it? I’m a waiting bee and sometimes I take the ring that I always wear on my right hand ring finger and put it on my left hand ring finger. And it just feels WEIRD. I can only wear it for 5 minutes because my OCD kicks in and says this is wrong and not in the right place!

I’m the opposite. I don’t have a ring yet, and my finger feels weird without one. haha

It took me about 4-5 months to get used to it. I never wear jewelry so it was a BIG change. but after a while, it will start to feel weird when you’re not wearing it (like you’re naked lol). It just takes time

My fiance (back when he was still “boyfriend”) gave me a promise ring a few years ago that I wore on my right ring finger. When I got it, it felt extremely weird and I constantly fiddled with it…so I assumed that it would be the same thing with my engagement ring. However, it’s been a little over a month now and I can honestly say that it feels natural. I don’t fiddle with it at all. I just stare at it all day.
I WILL say this though…sometimes, I have moments of panic. I no longer wear my promise ring and sometimes when I look at my right hand and don’t see a ring there, I think that I’ve lost my engagement ring. I guess I got used to having a ring on my right hand that I’ve begun to just expect *something* there. I’ve already been haunted by nightmares of losing my engagement ring–and I don’t lose ANYTHING. The anxiety and panic has gotten so bad that I’ve made sure to insure my ring through homeowner’s insurance!

I actually was totally worried that it would be impossible for me to wear the ring because I NEVER wear jewelry… ESPECIALLY not rings.
But, actually, I took to wearing it quite easily. In fact, I often “feel” it on my finger even when it’s not there lol.

I’ve had mine for 5 months and just last week started forcing myself to keep it on all day. I keep forgetting to wear it. I go out with my husband and tell him that I look like his mistress because he never takes his off and I always forget mine. Hopefully, I’ll get used to it soon.

Yeah, it felt really weird to have it on there for a little bit, but I got used to the feeling pretty fast.

I thought it would be weird but its not its easy to get used to. It was weird for him at first but now he feels weird without it. 🙂

It took me a good 4-5 months to get used to it. I had a pearl promise ring prior to the e-ring, but the e-ring felt so much heavier! Even though it’s been almost a year since we’ve been engaged, I still catch myself staring at it and playing with it. =P

I’ve always worn rings on my left ring finger so it wasn’t that weird to wear initially. What was weird to me was that I had a ring that had SUCH meaning behind it and I was totally cautious about wearing it and would be staring at it all the time. It’s been over 3 months now and now it’s totally normal but I do still stare at it a lot.

No! I love it and its so nice feeling it there and looking down at it. I even thought that when I first got engaged.

It was weird, because even though I wore rings sometimes, this one I would wear all the time! It was much too big at first too, so I was always paranoid about losing it or something. It sticks up higher than I thought I’d be okay with, but that just took some getting used to (and slamming the ring on the edge of the desk a couple times). Now when I take it off to shower I notice my thumb feeling for the ring and nothing is there, and that feels weird. It still is a little scary to think about how much money is just hanging out on my finger, but I love my ring too much to not wear it.

It was weird for me too, because I’m also not use to wearing jewelry. But, once I go to take it off to wash my hands or clean dishes….it’s just so pretty. Hee hee I also love wearing it around now to show my commitment and my fiancée’s great taste.
