Hi ladies, Still totally waiting! but Was thinking about this randomly. How do you bees feel about this pose after you kiss and are walking back down the aisle /when you get introduced at the reception.
For some reason I am starting to really not want to do that pose but what else are you suppose to do? Lol this is so random I know but I just wanted to know if you think it is a pre planned thing or you end up just doing that with your man because what else is there to do?!
So question, who is going to do “won the olympics, im on the podium” pose?

I will just walk back down the aisle. I would feel so awkward doing that pose!

Hmm knowing me probably. But not 100%….Mst likely to be a little bit of a dance tho lol

In my mind, there is no way I will do that pose. I’m shy, and it seems self important to me (which I generally try to avoid). At the same time, I imagine it being mildly awkward & not knowing what to do (I’m weird, can you tell?), so I might just do it subconsciously for lack of something better to do lol.

There’s no plan to. But I guess it might happen at the recpetion.

I’ll just do what feels natural to me, which probably won’t be that. My fiance and I are both pretty reserved people, so I can’t see us busting out the Olympics pose.

I hate my flabby arms, can’t imagine myself waving them in the air like that.lol

Glad I’m not the only one, I thought everyone did it! Yay.

I find it very cliche. Seriously, every tv episode about a wedding that I have ever seen has that, whatever it is, as does nearly every wedding I have ever been to in my life. To be honest I find it pretty cheesy and a bit abrasive for some reason, as does my husband everytime he sees it.
We did not have an aisle to walk down and only had a small sit down dinner after our wedding, but no, we did not walk in to the dining room like that or do that after our vows! We just walked in smiling & holding hands and went to meet our table, and after our ceremony also just held hands or whatever. Kinda low key, I suppose! But the Olympic-pose just does not really fit my (or our) personality or “vibe” I guess. So, I guess the answer to “what else do you do” is “just not that!”. No need to have a grand gesture to give it any meaning or to announce yourselves. People know who you are without the Olympic pose and can figure out you are probably happy and excited without seeing your armpits.

You know what? I hate it! (So there!)

This question is funny. I’ve never really thought about it, but I won’t do it. I’m a bride, not a heavyweight boxing champion.

LOL me and my fiance always totally laugh at this. same with the “jumping bridal party” pose!

@RayKay: Yeah soo annoying! It is everywhere.

Ugh I hate my arms but I’m sure with all my bridal excitement at some point they will end up in the air like that to be captured on film.

@pancakemix: Ugh I hate this move! It’s so…cliche. I also hate when the bridesmaids and groomsmen enter the reception and do ridiculous dance moves and gestures. Can you say tacky??
