I voted for own a home…but we own a 3 bedroom condo (not a house).  By the time baby arrives we will have lived there for almost 3 years.  We live in the city, so there’s no chance of a house anytime soon unless we move to the burbs.  It will be a tight squeeze but we plan to live there until the baby is at least 1.

We rent an apt right and will continue to do so when the baby gets here. We live in NYC, so when we buy it will be an apt and I don’t see that happening for a couple of years. The daycare costs alone will be murder on the nest egg.

I had been disowned by my parents and my sons dad was not cool. I was living at whatever house where a kind soul would let me stay. but the night I went into labor I was at my sons dad’s mom house ( we were19). My parents let me come home when my son was born. A little stability would have been cool. A house is ideal, I am 31 and still don’t own one but only cause I rent my parents house and they live somewhere else.

Talk about backwards: kid, education, job, marriage, and a home maybe in a couple of years.
