We didn’t find out I was pregnant until week 9. We told my parents at week 10 and FIs mom at week 12. We have told close fiends inbetween, as our wedding plans have changed because of this. I am not making an announcement for another 2 weeks, which I will be 16 weeks then anyways.

I’m 5w1d and we’ve told my mom and his mom. He accidentally told a close co-worker, and I told a secretary in my office (she guessed and I couldn’t lie. Plus it helps because she can play interference on a few things for me). Will probably tell siblings in another 2 weeks (after our first prenatal appointment) and extended family around 12 (this puts us right at christmas cards, so we are probably going to announce that way).

LeonardLady: You have some will power if you can keep it from your FI! lol Because Darling Husband has baby fever, Darling Husband was starting to track my symptoms so he sort of knew. Good luck!

We told our parents and my sisters the day after we found out (found out early at 8-9dpo). Everyone knew we were trying for over a year. My sisters knew I was having some fertility testing done. We told a few close friends a few days later. Then we started telling people we saw in person over the next few weeks. I told work at around 6 weeks since I work in surgery and nausea was kicking in. Plus I have to wear double lead, so most people would know.
We wanted to celebrate the life we created rather than hide it. We couldn’t imagine ppl not knowing for 3 months! It was waaaay too exciting to keep a secret. I know other people feel differently. I think you have to do what works for you.
We did a FB announcement at 7w5d after we saw the HB at our first OB appt.
If something bad had happened, I would not want to go through that alone. I would want support and understanding. Plus the nausea and fatigue were too difficult for me to hide.
I’m 12w5d now. 🙂

I told Darling Husband within minutes.
A week after I found out I told my BFFs @ 5 weeks. They all just had babies this past year so I needed someone to talk to and I would have told them anyway if I had/have a MC.
I have a dating ultrasound next Monday and hopefully we hear a heartbeat (7weeks2days) and then I will tell my mom.
I want to tell people in person so At 12 weeks I am going to tell my Dad and Stepmom and probably Mother-In-Law. MIL has a huge mouth so she doesn’t get to be told anything until first tri is over lol
At Christmas I plan to tell my grandmas and some uncles/aunts (15 weeks).
I won’t tell my work until at least 20 weeks and then maybe announce to the rest of the world after that.

mnp: Obviously Darling Husband and I knew straight away and we were planning on keeping it a secret until our 12 week ultrasound. Darling Husband was on the phone to one of his friends who has a 4 month old and his friend was talking about how amazing it was having a baby. Darling Husband was so excited that he blabbed lol but told him not to tell anyone yet. I was only 6 weeks so I was a tad annoyed but I reflected on it and decided it was adorable that Darling Husband is so excited that he could only hide our little secret for 2 weeks maximum lol. Darling Husband said he was so excited that he had to tell someone!!
Im still a little more cautious and would like to have an ultrasound first. Our first scan is booked for when I’m 10 weeks so if everything looks good we will probably start telling family and friends after that. However I don’t think I’ll tell my work until much later – if possible.
It is such an exciting time.. I can’t blame Darling Husband for not being excited. He hates reading.. But every night he has been reading a “so you’re going to be a dad” book I bought him. Love him!

I had my pregnancy announcements planned for months, but we were in such a state of shock that all of my plans flew out the window. I was 4 weeks when I found out and I wound up telling my husband on the phone while he was at work. We then three way called each of our parents and told our best friends a few days later. We want to tell the world at 20 weeks, but we may have to tell our extended family during the holidays as I already have a bloated bump at 7 weeks. O_O

I always get up first to pee and I took a test, then woke him up by shoving it in his face and asking “Do you see a line there?!”
I’m about 8 1/2 weeks now, and we just told my parents last night, and my in-laws this morning (we have to Skype as they are across the world).
We are travelling to visit my brother this weekend and might tell him and SIL in person. I’ll tell people officially at work around Christmas, I’ll be 16 weeks and should start to show by then. Might have to tell my boss earlier if I have to take much more time off for appointments. He is always concerned about how I am and why I’m at the doctor. 🙂 I will wait to tell anyone outside of immediately family until after our u/s at 10 1/2 weeks.
Oh, I’ve just started a new job and my “probabtionary period” us up next week, so I’m definitely keeping it to myself until after then.

We told our parents within a few days of finding out (around 4 weeks), my internship advisor and supervisor(5 weeks & 7 weeks), my boss at work at 7 weeks and coworkers at 10 weeks. We will be announcing to our families on Halloween at 12 weeks.
