I took mine to my grandma’s and brought it back to the bridal shop to get the alterations done. Then I’ll pick it back up when they are done and it will go back to my grandma’s.

I left it in the shop until I needed to have it altered. If something happens to it at the salon, their insurance covers it. If something happens to it at home… well…

The lady who I purchased the dress from uses a certain alteration place and they have a deal to keep the prices down for her. So first time saw my dress was there and she kept it. I wanted to take her home sooo bad

I had to take mine home. I brought it back when I started my fittings though.

I took mine to my mom’s house but the bridal store that I used if you leave it for more than 14 days then you lose the dress and all the money you spend on it.

@X0JLYNN03:  You should avoid trying it on. The oils in your skin are bad for the fabric and you want that white or ivory of champagne to look perfect day of. Plus, what if you snagged it on the zipper of the bag or a piece of furniture or what if your cat peed on it? I think the one of the best reasons to leave it at the salon is to remove the temptation of trying it on.

David’s Bridal gives you 14 days to pick up after it arrived.  I went in and tried it on to make sure they got the right size and the extra length.  Had it a month before the first fitting.  They now have it.
