So, since my last post about oval sizes, I’ve been offered my grandmother’s ring! It’s a 3 stone, which is a deviation from my previous thoughts but it is *so* gorgeous and I love the family connection so I said yes! I’ll be resetting it in yellow gold and doing some “us specific” designing, but the 3 stones will stay the same. I am SO excited!! The only problem is that my family lives in another state. We’ll be traveling down to visit for my grandmothers birthday late next month and will be picking up the ring then and it feels like forever! We are so ready to be engaged and I feel like I’m going a bit crazy waiting. Any advice on what to do when you’re waiting for your ring? I’d love to see pictures of your rings, too!

I just kept coming here! LOL! It took what seemed like forever to finally get mine. I’ve had it less than a month.

My guy proposed without a ring and even though we started researching/shopping for a ring right away it took almost 2 months before it was on my finger. Longest two momths of my life! I passed the time absolutely obsessively pursuing rings on this site, Pinterest, and anywhere else I could find pictures of rings. I also talked about my ring with anyone who would listen, whether they cared or not 😁
Here’s my ring, if it helps

Be sure to post pics of your ring as soon as you get it, both before and after your reset. Hope the time goes quickly

Goirishgrl : Love it! I’ve told bf that he doesn’t *have* to propose with a ring, but he said he wants to propose with the ring as I’m going to wear it, which is very sweet and important to him. But OMG feels like forever!!
I have one pic that my mom sent me, it’s pretty drool-worthy, even though the phone pic is a little blurry!

Woah! Here it is! It’s back at the jewelers to get set in yellow gold (we’re keeping the setting practically as is, prongs will be the same and the shank will be an exact replica in yellow gold) Now we have to wait another month to get it back! But I took soooo many pictures. It’s perfect <3

veganeh : Thank you! I’m so happy that my grandmother wants me to have this ring, it means so much and we are so excited. I can’t wait to get it back from the jewelers so I never have to take it off again!

mariadigi : I love your ring! It’s very classic and elegant, plus so much bling!! I have an inkling that my proposal is coming in a couple of weeks and I have also been trying to find ways to cope haha 🙂 This site helps a lot, plus just looking at pics of my ring and knowing that it will all be happening soon.

I know how you feel!! We ordered the ring together, and it took a month to come (as we ordered the ring from the US, as bigger diamond are cheaper there, and i’m a UKbee) my partner said I can see the ring but not use it as he hasn’t officially “proposed” yet. He made me wait another two months.
THEN once he finally proposed, I started using the ring but we both realised we didn’t like the setting, therefore we ended up making a bespoke setting and I don’t have my Engagement Ring for atleast another few weeks 🙁 so I spend my days on wedding bee looking at everyone elses beauties haha
Here is the ring in the original setting
