I don’t know if I’m too early to be looking for a pediatrician or not. I looked for a primary care doctor and none of the offices in my town are accepting new patients, so I thought it might be good to get a head start for the baby. I’m currently 19 weeks.
When did you start looking for a pediatrician? Did you use reviews or interview different practices?

There are some posts on this, but usually I’d suggest looking for a pediatrician initially in your second trimester and then doing your meet and greets closer to delivery.

Yes its never too early to start looking! I got my son into a pedatrician right after birth. There is just some sort of comfort I get from knowing my child is seeing a “Child” doctor. Ask your OB/GYN’s office for reccomendations! Also if you know any moms with young kids, ask them! I found about my pediatrician through another mom. Then just start calling around and asking if they accept your insurance and if they are accepting patiants. Good luck!!!!
P.S. Im 18 weeks along! Our kiddos could have the same birthday!! =)

A lot of our neighbors have kids, so our plan (when it’s our turn!) is to ask them.
