hey bees! i’m 23 and my fiance is turning 28 in a couple of months. i’m a full time student, currently getting a masters in ed and he works for an animation company. we’re planning a dec 2015 wedding. i’ll have graduated a few weeks or months before that, depending on how the rest of this year goes!

i’m newly engaged. probably a month and a week now. i just finished my engagement photo shoot and got previews today (can’t wait to post them later!), and our engagement party is in two weeks! i’m so excited to marry the love of my life. πŸ™‚ when i saw him, i just KNEW he was the one for me. before we even said a word. and i told all my friends he’s my soul mate (and i really thought that word was cheesy before i even used it)!

as for diet&exercise, i HIGHLY recommend tone it up! i can’t work out in the gym because i am way too self conscious, and youtube (/toneitupcom)has been my holy grail! tone it up is by these two awesome beach babes and they are so, so fun. i also try really hard to eat paleo and i’ve bounced back and forth between paleo and vegetarianism, only to find that paleo really does work better for me. i’m really gassy when i only eat beans and veggies, so this is the diet that’s worked best for me. i love using kettlebells too, and highly suggest it for arm toning and overall strength. if you like pilates, also check out youtube guru cassey. her channel is called blogilates and she’s VERY motivating. sometimes a little too much for me haha.

we’re trying our best to book a venue soon because we live in NYC and everything gets booked up way early, but it’s hard for us to make decisions haha. we constantly yoyo back and forth. however, wedding planning has been nothing but fun and happiness for me. and my Fiance has been so supportive and equally planning with me. i’m totally enjoying being engaged. πŸ™‚

we live together in our really spacious apartment (NYC standards) with my adorable cat, ginger.

allinoelle:  ooh! that’s so soon! congratulations! please post pics when you get a chance hehe

I’ll be 27 (errr, I mean I’ll be turning 25 for the 2nd time) in 2 weeks and have been married for almost 4 months! Time is just flying by and I’m sad that I won’t get to be in the newlywed pool for much longer! Everything has been really exciting and has been falling into place πŸ™‚ Darling Husband is getting a promotion and I’m about to complete my PhD Candidacy. I’m traveling to Boston in a few weeks to attend the 7th World Congress of Biomechanics and present some of my research.

We have 2 French Bulldogs that are literally the lights of my life. I love those little smooshy faces so freaking much. We plan on taking them to a puppy friendly beach soon to let them romp through the water πŸ™‚ We don’t have many summer plans besides lazy beach days and working on making our yard look presentable, lol. This weekend is my little brother’s high school graduation party, so I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of friends and family that I haven’t seen in quite some time… since I became old and MARRIED! lol

  • Wedding: May 2014

Hey young bees! I just got married on May 17th. My Darling Husband and I are 21.

I just graduated from college with my BA on May 1st. I’m starting my Masters in Speech Language Pathology (speech therapy) program in the fall. I was lucky enough to get a graduate assistantship to help pay for it, which I’m very excited about haha. Currently I work for a nonprofit that helps families to work their way out of poverty. I also work nights at a bar for some extra money. My Darling Husband works full time (well really more than full time haha) as a cook at a local farm to table bakery. He also goes to college part time. He’s studying business management.

We have one fur baby. He is a pug named Otis. We love him so much! As for summer plans, our honeymoon was really the only vacation we had time for. We went on a cruise to the Bahamas and then spent a weekend in Disney World. It was amazing!! We are going to try to take some time off to go to a theme park around here at some point this summer. It’s hard right now because we work totally opposite schedules. We’re hoping to take some time off in January (since his work will be closed anyway) and go on another cruise or to Disney again. We will see how that goes. So right now we are just working on making our apartment nicer, spending time together and with our pug, and trying to relax before our schedules get even crazier when school starts in the fall!

Hi Beeees! Im 27 and just got engaged about a month ago! Its been really exciting and I’m in the midst of moving in with my FI! We just redecorated his place, new furniture, paint and all that. I painted the living room accent wall GOLD. Its amazing. We love it and are having so much fun working on it all.

We are wayyyy ahead of any sane planning time table. Sept 2015 wedding and we have: venue, florals, planner, band, photog, and video done! Contracts in, deposits paid. I work out everyday doing either: Zumba, barre, yoga, or reformer pilates so Im in good shape but I still want to lose 10lbs of chub so all that muscle is visible!

Very excited that my Future Mother-In-Law (who I adore) is throwing us a fancy engagement party at their country club for this November! Cannot wait. This time is just so freaking exciting, I am loving it. I also bought designer wedding shoes and rehearsal dinner dress which was a complete thrill. Only sad I have over a year left to wear them!

CarolinaPeach13:  What a great idea! I’m 25 and have been engaged for about six months, and our wedding is not until fall 2016 – talk about a long engagement! I haven’t done much planning besides trying to decide on colors (I think I finally settled on navy, coral, and gold)  As for summer plans, I am a Maid/Matron of Honor in one wedding and a bridesmaid in another – the weddings are three weeks apart. So between traveling to and attending all of the showers, bachelorette parties, etc I am one busy lady! I also work every other weekend (I’m a nurse) so I feel like I’m never home. My Fiance works night shift, so we have had to get creative to see eachother, even though we live together (breakfast date, anyone?)   When I’m not working or doing wedding stuff, my Fiance and I like to get away and hike with our dog, bike, or just hang out and Netflix it up!

For exercise routines…. I am really into PiYo, and do that 1-2 times per week.  I also began running again after spraining my knee after my last half marathon, and I do Crossfit workouts with my Fiance.  No current frustrations besides living 4+ hours away from my family, as well as my friends whose weddings I am in….so LOTS of travel back and forth! Hope everyone has a great summer!

Hi ladies! I’ve been lurking for a few months now but I had to chime in. I’m 28 (so am starting to feel less and less like a 20-something, gahhhh!) and I have a MA in a totally non-practical subject. I’ve been dating my girlfriend for a little shy of a year, so it is (I freely admit) totally ridiculous that I’m on a wedding board, but I have a little touch of the crazy.

But I’ve been in multi-year, live-in relationships in the past, and never even had the slightest desire to get married, so I’m trying to enjoy the fact that my current relationship has turned me into the kind of woman who looks at pictures of wedding dresses and sighs deeply. Errr, call it love?

In terms of workouts, I LOVE spin classes, and have been cruising Groupon for good deals on some cyclin’. Then to squelch the urge, I open up my bank account and it makes it pretty easy to show some self-control. So I just run for free

Oh, I’m also moving in a couple of days, so this board is an awesome distraction from packing.

Hi all.  I am 27.  My Fiance is 21.  We are in a LDR. He’s American and I am Canadian.  We are doing a K1 Visa to get me over there to marry and then we will wait out his time in the Air Force.  Once that is over, we plan on moving back to his home state and get married there.  It’s both our first time at marriage.

This summer I don’t plan on doing much other than work.  It’s the busiest time for me as I do real estate so I am not planning on going away until late October.

I haven’t even started planning the wedding as we haven’t set a date yet.  But I am looking at different venues and trying to see whether I want to have it on the beach or closer to his hometown.  It’s fun looking at places and just getting an idea of what I really want.  I have already decided I want my wedding to have a spanish theme.  So I am looking at missions in California to see which ones would be choice.

Already bought my wedding dress! (I know, no date set and a wedding dress! I am nuts!) But, being that I am moving away sometime in the next 6 months, I wanted to share that experience with my mom and aunts before I left.

I’m 24 and getting married on Saturday! Ahh!

I have a degree in film & television, but currently I’m working full-time as a nanny. After the wedding I plan on taking some night classes or something to beef up my resume so I can pursue my career, but in the mean time, I love my job.

I can’t believe I’m getting married so soon! I’m so excited. I’m also excited for after the wedding, we’re going on a mini-moon, staying a couple nights in a vacation home surrounded by sequoias. We’re going on our honeymoon probably in December or January, to St. Lucia.

I wanted to get in better shape for the wedding so I started a Couch to 5K program, and I’m almost all the way through it! I’ve gotten really into running and I want to keep going and train to run a 10K too. I should probably get a gym membership so I can tone my core and arms more, I do like yoga, but for now I’m happy with running.
