I’m 22! In school at UGA for Criminal Justice and Sociology. Have a pomeranian who I love more than anything in the world, who is chillin upside down on his back right now lol We try to work out frequently, but we’ve been going through a lot lately. Been with my SO for almost 5 years and will hopefully be engaged within the next 2 weeks. We are going to Hawaii a week from today!!

CarolinaPeach13:  Hello! I just turned 26 last Tuesday, my Fiance is 29.

I’ve been doing well with the planning for our wedding this up coming winter. I graduated this year and was hired on my local school board, YAY! So excited to start teaching again in the fall, also nervous! Really nervous! I’m not working this summer and using my time to plan our wedding, thank goodness I have this time!

We bought a house this year too! Lots going on here! For exercise I’m trying various things. I joined a workout class 2 days a week, and just generally eating healthier and being more active. I’ve lost 20lbs, looking to lose another 20lbs before the wedding! Even if I don’t, I’m ok with that. I feel great and have more energy. Life is good.

CarolinaPeach13:  YES!i know its coming up fast but i wish it was faster lol! Congrats on getting started planning! I remember that, we started back in November 2013. The date was picked by accident but i love it! The most difficult part of the planning process deciding on a reasonable budget given that we have kids and all haha. What we based it all off of was what can we afford and still be comfortable after, we refuse to take loans or go in debt for our wedding so planning has been very meticulous and”DIY” oriented. Then after we set our budget Future Mother-In-Law said she wanted to contribute 2,000 which obviously is very generous but we didnt change anything, i especially want to keep the costs down to what we can handle on our own so that no one thinks they are going to get to step all over the planning process. Guess what? i was right lol Aweek after Future Mother-In-Law offered to contribute financially, she wanted to decide centerpieces, cake and the “mother/son” song (which would have been reasonable except i have 2 sons and its an equally important song for me, and she has TERRIBLE music taste) So basically, any advice i have for planning is choose a budget you can handle unless you want to hand over some planning rights as well. ALSO dont be afraid to say NO. lol im serious, if you know in the end something will affect the way you feel then just say no! Other than that, i am having so much fun and i never thought i would because i never thought about marriage before. So good luck and CONGRATS!!!

  • Wedding: December 2014

I’m 22 (as of about a month ago). Fiance and I got engaged New Year’s Eve of 2012. Wedding is on December 13, 2014. Long engagement…but I can’t believe it’s just over 4 months away now!! Wedding planning is super slow… I know I’ve had so much time, but I’ve been in school too! We still need to buy the cake and invitations.. and send out some save the dates…. CRAP. Fiance doesn’t even have clothes for the big day… But my dress is bought and done with alterations! Also need to start on my DIY decorations…. Yeah, I’m pretty far behind. Annnnnd we have no honeymoon. Also no honeymoon prospects….

All we have going on this summer is work work work! We live pretty close to Six Flags and have a membership pass so we will hit that up a bit too! I’m still taking classes so I also have school to worry about. And we are going to see Panic at the Disco in concert at the end of the month. Totally takes me back to high school…. πŸ™‚

Fiance and I were doing the BeFit in 90 program on youtube. We liked it, but when I started my job it was hard to keep up and do it together. We are going to try to get back into it today! Gotta get that wedding body.

CarolinaPeach13:  I love it! Athens is great! We went to Greenville last November for the florida Georgia line concert and drove back through Clemson! It was so cool to see death valley! I can’t wait for a couple of more weeks since last year was such a great game! Can’t wait to be there this year!

CarolinaPeach13:  Hello. I’m quite a new bee and love this thread. πŸ™‚ I got engaged almost 2 weeks ago, and my Fiance (22) and I (22) are both in our senior years of college. I’m studying public health, and he’s a mining engineering major. Funny how we met at a small international school in Malaysia, and back then, we didn’t even talk to each other in person. The friendship & relationship grew over the long distance after hs grad. πŸ™‚

Anyways! We’re shooting for next fall for our wedding since I heard that’s the best time for tourists to come to NV, and we’ll have many guests flying in (even from overseas) for the event! So exciting!

I love cooking healthy meals, and for now, I’m just easing myself into yoga. But once the semester kicks off… gym, here I come! Love weight training.

So fun to meet all of you!
