Hello everyone! I’m hoping for a little advice and direction regarding bridesmaids dresses.
A) Where did you find your ladies’ dresses?
B) Are there any affordable, STYLISH looks out there? I’m interested in long gowns, preferably no more than around $150…as not all of the members of my bridal party are in a “fabulous” place financially.
C) Another thing to take into consideration is that my BMs are coming from all over the country: Boston, NYC, Ohio and beyond. I don’t think it would be practical for all of us to meet up and go shopping together—an easily accessible “line” of gowns would be preferrable. Is David’s bridal really all there is? (ha)
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

i got my girls’ dresses at a local bridal shop in my town. the maid of honor’s dress is by allure. it was $129. the bridesmaids’ dress is by pretty maids. it was $139.
aria bridal has a very big selection of dresses and they’re beautiful and very customizable. i believe the prices start at around $150-$160 and i think their dresses are carried in several shops across the country, so maybe your girls will have a location near them. they also have a try-on program through their website, so for $10 they’ll send you a sample and you can try on the dress before you buy it.
i hope that helps!

I got mine (irr we are getting them) at Alfred Angelo.. And I think they are stunning.. They will be slightly altered to be turned into sweetheart necklines
Also, most off AA bridesmaids gowns have jr bridesmaids options (I am having a jr bm, so it worked out well) OH! And they run about $180, but this was one of the slightly pricier gowns *all my girls loved it even though it was slightly over budget*

Thank you so much for all of your input! I will definitely check out all of the options mentioned!

I don’t know where you are at in Ohio but Cinncinati has a bunch of shops, I personally got mine from Ft Wayne, IN which has many shops as well. I probably went to more bridal shops looking for my Bridesmaid or Best Man gowns than my own so don’t give up keep looking for what you have in mind.

@onesweetworld: Can you give us an idea of what you like? Fashionable does not describe most bridesmaids dresses to me. So maybe an example? A feel for your wedding vibe?

I love my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses… they are short though, but I’d like to think they are very “in” and stylish also very affordable! All of these dresses were under $100, and a few were even under $40! I let my girls pick their own dress off of a pre-selected list from Asos.com, a UK fashion site with free shipping and returns. While they do not have “bridesmaid” dresses specifically, they do have a TON of very unique and hip styles. They do also have long dresses, not many, but they do have some.

I’m having my girls pick theirs from Bari Jay. You can get them online for under 150 from netbride.com.
