I think weddingbee is something more for brides and grooms, maybe that’s why we don’t see many mother in laws.  I would be horrified if my mother in law visited this site… this is my outlet.  I’m glad there aren’t many MIL’s in the bunch 🙂

MightySapphire – I don’t think it’s that they know it all – it’s that they really don’t care how the bride thinks.  That’s my take anyway.

I think it could be a generation thing too. I don’t want to stereotype because I know it isn’t the case with all mother in-laws, but in my case, I don’t think my future mother in-law really uses the internet too often. She does not have an e-mail address. So for some people, it may just be that they aren’t in the computer generation.

My mom on the other hand is constantly on the computer, but has no idea sites like weddingbee exist, until I tell her.

So it could be that some people just don’t know?

My mom really wishes there was an online forum for moms, but she doesn’t want to invade my weddingbee territory.

I do think it is a generational thing.  My mom is with the times, but mostly goes online to just check e-mails and she wouldn’t know what to do if she came across a site like this.  My Mother-In-Law keeps asking me to help her use the computer, I have MANY times over the years, but she is finally taking classes because she has to for work since her career (nursing) keeps getting more and more high tech.  But, the first couple times we sat down she didn’t even know how to turn the computer on or even what right and left clicking is (she has a PC).  So yeah, she would have to idea how to even get to this site.
