We’re getting married this October at the American Swedish Historical Museum! We used partyspace to review a lot of the vendors and find open dates and are super excited! Jeffrey Miller Catering is their exclusive provider and has incredibly delicious food and awesome menu options!

Our whole ceremony and reception will be right in front of the museum outside…but obviously it won’t be snow covered and full of bare trees at that time of year! It’s gorgeous!

We can’t wait!

Ninebones:  My parents had one of their first dates there!!! 🙂

We’re getting married at the Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ. Not in Philly, but a close NJ suburb at least! Both of us are super excited as people say the food is fabulous!

MedleyHoward2015:  It’s supposed to start at 7. I looked up the sunset time and it said 8:13. We should have a good hour of sunset and pretty sky I’m hoping!

My daughter was married at the Hotel duPont, Wilmington, a quick trip down route I-95. Based on availability, she ended up with the Sunday night of a holiday weekend. I think the discount was about $50 per person. Service and food were fabulous – ceremony in a smaller ballroom. Overnight accomodations were heavily discounted. We chose all our vendors from Delaware, except bridal party clothing, and saved thousands.

If you are looking for a vintage setting, try Aldie Mansion. The mansion is utterly unique, and extremely elegant, for an affordable price (and I looked at a lot of places). Costs for Jeffrey Miller Catering (the exclusive caterer for the site) starts around $100/head, and the food is absolutely incredible!

I am getting married at the Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm near New Hope (Bucks County). I have not heard of anyone else on here with the same venue as me.

mrsgttobe:  I checked them out when I was looking for a venue. The grounds are GORGEOUS, and I’d imagine it would be even prettier in June!
